Okay, after a brief diversion to focus on a movie poster with a photo montage, we’re back to illustrated/painted goodness. The original poster for First Blood by famed artist Drew Struzan is a personal favorite. I love the poster and the movie. Italian artist Renato Casaro also did a poster for the European release of First Blood, and it too is impressive. Both of these posters have great art, though I love the simplicity of Struzan’s painting. Sadly, the inferior sequel, Rambo: First Blood, Part II, has an equally inferior poster that uses a photograph instead of a painting. I’m including the poster for the sequel, just so you all can see the contrast in quality over a movie poster with a painting, versus one that uses a photograph.
